ASSISTANT TEACHERS
William Dyer
William Dyer ("Willie") grew up in Nashville and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 2002. He started guitar lessons with Rob Jackson when he was about 12, and by the time he was a junior in high school, he and Rob were collaborating on a band project, the Diehards. William attended Belmont University in Nashville, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Music (with emphasis on guitar) in 2006. While in college, he began working part-time as Rob's assistant teacher, starting out a number of young guitarists who have since become quite good players. William is a strong, versatile guitarist, and combined with his easy-going personality, he makes a great first guitar teacher for a young person or adult who is ready to get started on basic guitar skills. William also plays the 5-string banjo, and is an outstanding slide guitarist. He has logged several years of national touring experience with several bands and recording artists. He is a valuable asset for Rob Jackson Studio.
